The location was fantastic -- right on the Piazza del Comune. We also loved the fact that the hotel had parking nearby. The gentleman who checked us in allowed us to enter our room more than two hours before formal check-in time, which was absolutely wonderful since we had flown overnight and drove from Rome that morning. The room was so quiet -- we didn't hear any other guests, and with the windows closed, there was no sound from the Piazza. But, when we opened our windows on Saturday morning, there was a big wedding taking place next door, so we got a bird's- eye view of the festivities. Wonderful restaurants within walking distance, etc. We had been to Montefalco in the past but never overnight -- this was the perfect place to stay. Thank you.
The only thing we didn't like very much during our stay was the shower in our junior suite -- it was very small and the doors didn't seal very well. Also, the towels were way too small -- more of the size of a hand towel -- and there was only one for each of us, along with a true hand towel. That being said, we would definitely stay here again -- it is a very charming hotel with very kind staff.

Good bed in the standard king room, plus an ironing set, an electronic key card, and satellite television. Attentive hotel employees all round. Incredible location in Montefalco, so close to Montefalco, the adjacent restaurant and the centre of Montefalco. A good choice of food options a 10-15 minute walking distance from the venue...

Special accommodation with an amazing setting very close to the valley and rooftops in Montefalco. the Palazzo Bontadosi is a beautifully decorated hotel for two nights, with an outdoor garden. - the room was big and individually decorated, providing a balcony and a free-standing bathtub. - the staff were excellent, nice people working here.

Everything was perfect. Often hotels try to blend modern designs within the settings of an old building, and fail miserably. Palazzo Bontadosi pulls it off magnificantly. The modern design is beautiful and enhances the grand context of the old palazzo. The room was lovely, spacious, and with a great view. The location of the hotel is perfect, and Montefalco is a lovely little town. The breakfast was very good, and the facilities of the hotel are great (nice tables on the piazza, lovely private garden area, spa etc).

This hotel is perfect. We stayed in Room 1 (frescoed walls and ceiling it was the Cardinals Library). The blend of old and new has been perfectly done. We also loved the modern art work throughout the building. Dinner in the restaurant was a wonderful experience. The staff were so helpful, they even parked the car for me which was nearby. The floors are polished which match perfectly with the age of the building and the sensitive renovations. One of the top hotels I've stayed in. A gem in a beautiful square and village and easy to find. Highly recommend this hotel for it's combination of old and new and historic building.

Wonderful, luxurious and trendy boutique hotel in a lovely part of Italy. Beautifully decorated with a wonderful attention to detail in a way that is modern but makes the most of the 16th century building at the same time. I love the fact that each room is decorated in a different way. Our room was not only beautiful inside but also had a lovely view down to the valley below. Loved the room, the delicious food, the local Sagrantino wine and the superbly relaxing spa facilities. Very helpful and charming staff. The location is also very good - right at the heart of the charming village of Montefalco with its gorgeous views of the Umbrian countryside. The hotel is well placed for sightseeing visits to places like Assisi.

An absolute gem ! I seldom bother to write about hotels I've stayed in, but this one is special. The hotel is very new, a great fusion of design and history. We had room N°1, the fresco-painted one, which is a unique luxurious setting and has a great view over the valley. The bathroom is huge and cosy. The spa is a bit of paradise on earth, with a warm pool in the gold-glittering caves, a hammam, showers, and a relaxing/candles place. I've never seen anything so romanting, my fiancée was thrilled. The setting at the top of the medieval village of Montefalco is very romantic and a great location to visit the Umbria region. Finally, the staff is extraordinary. Very nice and helpful, caring, accomodating our every need. They vastly contributed to make this experience an ideal one, and were very generous with us. Possibly the best hotel in all Italy
